🌱 Plant Details

• Heirloom variety originating from Tuscany, Italy
• Tender, richly flavored leaves excellent for sautés, soups, and salads
• High in vitamins A, C, and K, and antioxidants
• Harvest young leaves for tender salads or mature for hearty cooking greens 

☀️ Growing Info

• Full sun to partial shade (4–8 hours daily)
• Space 12–18 inches apart in fertile, well-drained soil
• Water consistently; mulch to retain moisture
• Cold-tolerant — leaves grow sweeter after a light frost
• Days to maturity: ~60–70 

🌿 Companion Planting

Pairs well with beets, celery, cucumbers, herbs, onions, and potatoes. Avoid planting near strawberries or tomatoes, which can attract shared pests.
