Known for its rich, honeyed flavour and smooth, netted rind, this early-ripening melon thrives in cooler northern climates — offering a taste of summer sunshine in every bite.

☀️ Growing Info
- Full sun (6–8+ hours daily)
- Prefers rich, well-drained soil with plenty of compost
- Space plants 24–36” apart in rows 4–6’ apart
- Water deeply and consistently, especially during fruiting
- Harvest when rind becomes fragrant and stem begins to slip easily

Oka Melon grows beautifully with corn, beans, and nasturtiums. These companions help deter pests and attract pollinators. Avoid planting near cucumbers or squash, which can cross-pollinate and affect fruit quality. Perfect for raised beds or warm, sunny garden spots.
