- Full sun (6–8+ hours daily)
- Prefers rich, well-drained soil with consistent moisture
- Space plants 18–24” apart
- Start indoors 8–10 weeks before last frost and transplant after danger of frost has passed
- Harvest when peppers turn deep red and firm
🌿 Companion Planting Tip
Pimento Peppers thrive when planted near basil, onions, carrots, or tomatoes, which help deter pests and improve flavour. Avoid planting near beans, kale, or fennel, as they may compete for nutrients or space. Peppers also benefit from mulching to retain warmth and moisture during hot summer days.
