Sage Seedling
Earthy, aromatic, and deeply grounding, Sage is a timeless perennial herb valued for its culinary, medicinal, and spiritual uses. Its soft, silvery-green leaves bring texture and fragrance to the garden while attracting pollinators and repelling unwanted pests.
🪴 Plant Details
- Hardy perennial herb with fragrant, silvery foliage
- Popular in cooking, herbal teas, and smudge bundles
- Drought-tolerant and low-maintenance once established
- Attracts bees and butterflies with soft lilac blooms
- Excellent for borders, herb gardens, and containers
☀️ Growing Info
- Full sun (6+ hours daily)
- Prefers dry to moderately moist, well-drained soil
- Space plants 12–18” apart
- Water deeply but infrequently; avoid soggy soil
- Prune after flowering to maintain shape and encourage new growth
🌿 Companion Planting Tip
Sage grows well with rosemary, thyme, and cabbage-family crops. Its strong scent helps deter cabbage moths, carrot flies, and beetles. Avoid planting near cucumbers, which prefer more moisture. Ideal for adding fragrance and structure to herb gardens and pollinator borders.
